Use of Artificial Intelligence at ERA

At ERA, artificial intelligence is a supportive tool to enhance our work. It helps us to make processes more efficient, structure information and further develop our training programmes. AI does not replace professional expertise or human responsibility. Our commitment to quality, integrity and responsibility as a continuing training provider remains unchanged.

Responsibility of Staff and Management

Responsibility for all content and outcomes always lies with our staff and management. AI-generated suggestions or analyses are reviewed and assessed before use. Decisions are not made automatically. The principle of human oversight is central to our approach.

Opportunities and Risks

We use AI where it adds value, for example in analysing information, structuring content, translations or supporting operational tasks. At the same time, we are aware of potential risks such as inaccurate or biased results and legal considerations and we address these with due care and critical judgement.

Data Protection and Confidentiality

The responsible handling of data is of central importance to us. Confidential information and sensitive personal data are not entered into external AI systems.

Transparency

Where content has been created to a significant extent using AI, whether in text, image or audiovisual form, we make this clear. Supporting uses in the background are not subject to labelling.

Portrait and event photographs are created exclusively as real camera-based images and serve the representation of actual events. AI is used exclusively for non-documentary content, in particular for symbol images, factual visualisations and graphics.

Continuous Development

The use of AI is a dynamic process. We regularly review our internal guidelines and adapt them where necessary to reflect new developments. At the same time, we promote continuous training for our staff in the responsible and reflective use of AI.
