On 22 January, ERA had the pleasure of welcoming the Hungarian Prosecutor General, Gábor Bálint Nagy, and members of his delegation for an official visit at our premises in Trier.
The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on legal training priorities and explore avenues for further cooperation between ERA and the Office of the Hungarian Prosecutor General. The agenda included an introduction to ERA’s mission, event programme, eLearning portfolio, and current projects, as well as an overview of the organisation’s work in supporting the continuous professional development of legal practitioners across Europe. In turn, the delegation presented the structure and responsibilities of the Hungarian Prosecution Service, with particular emphasis on the education and training system for Hungarian prosecutors.
The discussions focused on how ERA’s activities, especially within its criminal law portfolio, could best support the training needs of Hungarian prosecutors and contribute to developing joint training formats.
The exchange underlined the shared commitment to promoting high-quality legal training and support cross-border cooperation among judicial authorities. ERA warmly thanks the Hungarian Prosecutor General and his delegation for their visit and constructive dialogue and looks forward to developing future initiatives that will deepen this valuable partnership.
