ECtHR Criminal Justice Update 2026


Objective 

This online seminar will provide legal practitioners with a practical update on the latest case law of the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) relevant to criminal law and criminal procedure, focusing primarily on developments in 2025 and 2026. 
 
The seminar will explore how recent Strasbourg judgments affect national criminal justice systems, covering key issues such as fair trial rights, digital evidence and surveillance, detention, cross-border proceedings, admissibility requirements, and victims’ rights. Through expert presentations and discussion, participants will gain practical insights into applying Convention standards and using ECtHR case law effectively in their professional practice.
