Pay or (not) OK and the Omnibus Review of the GDPR

Objective

The conference will address key challenges in GDPR enforcement across the EU and EEA, focusing on recent CJEU case law, the evolving approach of the EC and DPAs, and the interaction between the GDPR and emerging digital business models. 

Special attention will be given to the EDPB guidance on “Pay or OK” models, exploring issues of consent, legitimate interest, and fairness, as well as their implications for judicial review and enforcement practice. 
 
The second day will focus on national experiences in judging GDPR compliance cases and on identifying best practices within European courts.
