Objective

The seminar will focus on the most recent jurisprudence of the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) related to personal data protection and the right to privacy.

Over the last few years the ECtHR has had a raising number of cases related to proportionate and disproportionate interferences with personal data protection and privacy rights. These rights fall under the scope of Article 8 of the Convention and are slowly but surely expanding the notion of private life.
