Participation for lawyers in private practice :
The registration fee of 375€ includes up to two hotel nights in a single hotel room. There are no discounts available. For further information please contact Christiane Schmitz.
 
Participation for judges:
The participation for judges is free of charge. Two nights in a single hotel room as well as travel costs of up to 300 Euros will be covered by the ERA. Participants have to be nominated by their national EJTN contact point.

Objective

This conference will provide a forum for debate between legal practitioners on the practical implementation of the Rome I & Rome II Regulations. Participants are invited to share and evaluate their own experiences in their member states.

Key topics

In order to allow a vivid discussion on the practical implementation of these two key instruments of European private international law, the conference will concentrate on day-to-day situations in a cross-border context:
  • International contracts with a focus on consumer contracts
  • Cross-border torts with a focus on traffic accidents

Who should attend?

Judges, lawyers in private practice and notaries involved in cross-border litigation.
