This course will provide participants with an introduction to the following essential topics:
- The sources of taxation and the fundamental freedoms under the EU Treaty
- Direct taxation in the case-law of the ECJ and interaction with domestic law
- Corporate taxation
- Individual taxation
- VAT
The course will focus on case-studies, applying instruments and concepts learned during the presentations to tax law practice.

Visit to the European Court of Justice
Participants in this summer course will also have the opportunity to visit the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg. The number of places is limited by the Court for practical reasons to 35.
