ERA hosts study visit for EuroMed Justice delegation
The Academy of European Law (ERA) hosted a study visit for high representatives from the judicial authorities of Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, and Tunisia at its headquarters in Trier on 7-9 March 2023.
At ERA, the delegates learnt about ERA's work in the field of criminal law. Cornelia Riehle, Deputy Head of the Criminal Law Section, provided the visitors with an overview of the Academy's priorities for the year, including key topics such as artificial intelligence, cryptocurrencies, cybercrime, e-evidence, EPPO and digitalisation.
The study visit was part of a wider tour for these senior prosecutors and judges that included visits to several key institutions, such as the Court of Justice of the European Union, the European Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Luxembourgish General Prosecutor’s Office.
