Objective
The summer course will introduce lawyers to practical aspects of
cross-border litigation. It will concentrate on the existing legal
instruments including the latest jurisprudence and developments.

- European Payment Order & Small Claims Procedure
- How to enforce a judgment abroad?
- Applicable law to international contracts and torts
- The E-Justice Portal in current legal practice
- Recent trends in cross-border mediation, ADR & ODR
Participants will be able to deepen their knowledge through case-studies and daily workshops.
Visit to the European Court of Justice
Participants in this summer course will also have the opportunity to visit the Court of Justice of the EU in Luxembourg. The number of places is limited by the Court for practical reasons to 35.
Social programme
After a day's intensive training, enjoy our varied social programme: the course dinner with fellow participants, wine-tasting in the Mosel vineyards, a tour of the historic city of Trier.
The course is aimed at legal practitioners seeking an introduction to European private law and civil litigation.
