Objective

This training will give the participants an in-depth and concrete insight into the right to equal recognition before the law under Article 12 of the UNCRPD and the UNCRPD Committee’s General Comment no. 1, as well as the safeguards and standards it entails.

Legal capacity affects all aspects of the life of persons with disabilities and there is a need for better understanding of the obligations of States Parties to ensure supported decision-making for all persons with disabilities and how this can be organised at national and local level effectively and with legal guarantees.

Who should attend?
