ERA's Director of the Academy, Jean-Philippe Rageade, and Director of Programmes, Viktor Vadász met in Brussels with representatives of the justice stakeholders at EU level: ACA-Europe (Association of the Councils of State and Supreme Administrative Jurisdictions of the EU), Council of Bars and Law Societies Europe (CCBE), Europäische Union der Rechtspfleger (E.U.R.), the European Association of Judges (EAJ), the European Network of Councils for the Judiciary (ENCJ), the Network of the Presidents of the Supreme Judicial Courts of the European Union (NPSJC), and the European Union of Judicial Officers (UEHJ). Together they discussed the launch of the “EU Forum of the judicial professions” – an important project in the development strategy of the Academy of European Law ERA. This initiative aims to launch a structured dialogue among the judicial and legal professions where their common challenges and concerns could be addressed and analysed.
It was agreed to organise a conference on the “attractiveness of the legal professions” on 2 December 2022 in Brussels. More information to follow.
