Born in Lüneburg.
Has over 13 years of experience in international sales and project management. Her academic and professional background is international and interdisciplinary, with stints in Luxembourg, France, and the United Kingdom.
After receiving an Erasmus scholarship, she completed her Master of Science in Marketing Management at the University of Central Lancashire, gaining expertise in strategic marketing, brand management, market research, and digital marketing.
Following her studies in Applied Cultural Sciences (Magister Artium) at Leuphana University Lüneburg, Mareike initially worked at the European Investment Fund in Luxembourg before starting her career in international sales at Villeroy & Boch. In various roles, she significantly contributed to the growth of the business customer segment in the Dining & Lifestyle division.
Most recently, as Senior International Key Account Manager, she led international sales teams, managed major projects in Europe, Asia and Africa and was responsible for strategic concepts and digitalization in the business customer segment.
Joined the Academy of European Law in July 2024.
