"European Law Protecting our Common Values
This event will be streamed live on 16 October 2019 from 9:45 to 17:45 CEST.
In the framework of the 30th anniversary of the EU’s Jean Monnet Programme, of which it is a beneficiary, ERA is organising a high-level conference to discuss the protection of European values by European law.
After a thorough analysis of the concept of “European values”, successive panels will take a closer look at how European law defends these values against both external and internal threats, and will address the potential conflict between the values protected by EU law on the one hand and national constitutional law on the other.
For an opportunity to attend this fully booked event via a free live stream, register your place in advance, online. This event is being hosted in Brussels at the “House of European History” and will be attended by Officials of the European Institutions as well as representatives of the Member States and other legal professional entities.
