Objective
This final seminar in a series of three co-financed by the European Commission will analyse the scope of the problem of demand for trafficking in human beings (THB) and how it can be countered with prevention initiatives on demand reduction. Clamping down on new and emerging tools being used by traffickers, in particular in the cyber domain, will be examined.The work of various EU Member States and (international) organisations attempting to reduce demand will be looked at from both a judicial and a law enforcement perspective, as well as the work done by relevant actors in awareness raising. Regulatory and legal measures to reduce demand, including the criminalisation of the use of services exacted from victims of trafficking, will be illustrated.
Workshops will form a part of the seminar.

Participation fee and reiumbursement of costs
- Registration fee: €120 including documentation, lunch and joint dinner.
- Travel costs up to €300 will be reimbursed by ERA upon presentation of the original receipts, tickets, boarding passes or invoices after the seminar. For those travelling less than 100km to Krakow, travel costs of up to €100 will be reimbursed.
- Two nights' hotel accommodation up to €70 per night will be reimbursed by ERA upon receipt of the original receipts and invoices after the seminar for participants who have to travel more than 100km to Krakow.
- The number of places available is limited (50 places).
- Target group: judges, prosecutors, law enforcement officers, civil society/NGOs.
Participation will be subject to a selection procedure. - A response will be sent to every applicant after the deadline. We advise you not to book any travel or hotel before you receive our confirmation. Polish applicants who work for the judiciary and prosecution services must apply for this event through KSSiP.
- Participants are asked to book their own travel and accommodation.
- Participants should come from eligible EU Member States (Denmark does not participate in the ISF Police instrument) or eligible Candidate Countries (Albania and Montenegro).
If you have attended the seminar in Lisbon on 8-9 September 2022 on reducing demand and preventing THB (322DT102f) you are not entitled to attend this seminar.
Who should attend?
Judges, prosecutors, law enforcement officers, civil society/NGOs from eligible EU Member States (Denmark does not participate in the Internal Security Fund - Police 2014-2020) and eligible Candidate Countries (Albania and Montenegro).
