Objective
The Annual
Conference on European Succession Law will address practical problems
in succession planning, particularly with cross-border implications.
In 2025, after 10 years of application of the EU
Succession Regulation, it is time to review: how does the Regulation
work in practice, what have been the crucial judgments of the Court of
Justice?
Other key questions concern the relationship
between family and succession law, intestate rights of unmarried
partners, and forced heirship. Recent developments in the EU regarding
the protection of adults will also be on the agenda.
