2015 is a landmark year for the debate on ADR & ODR.
The Directive on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) will have to be transposed into national legislation by 9 July 2015; the Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform will become operational six months later. As a result of these EU acts, ADR & ODR will be available for any dispute stemming from contractual obligations between a consumer and a business established in the EU, whilst the ODR platform will be available where the dispute concerns an online transaction.
