Born in Kalenberg (Netherlands) in 1964. A levels in 1982. Studied law at the Radboud University in Nijmegen. Obtained a Meester in de Rechten with a dissertation on "EC Competition Rules and Copyright" (1991).
Service representative at Manpower Management Ltd. (1989-90). Visits to France and Spain as employee of N.U.R. Touristic (1992/93). Postgraduate studies on European integration at the Europa-Institut of Saarland University (1995). Has worked for the Academy of European Law since May 1995.
From January 1999 to July 2000 head of section in charge of
agricultural law, consumer protection, media and sports law, social and
labour law. Since July 2000 Director of Marketing and Conference
Services (as of 1 January 2008 Finance and Conference Services) and
since October 2003 Deputy Director of the Academy of European Law.
Since 1 January 2023 General Manager - Facilities, Infrastructure & Services.
