I was born in Targoviste, Romania. A graduate of both the University of Bucharest (Bachelor's degree, Masters degree - 2007-2011) and Paris I Pantheon Sorbonne (Bachelor's degree, Master 1 et Master 2 in European and International Business Law - 2007-2011), followed by a Phd in European Competition Law from Paris X Nanterre (2021).

I have worked as a member of the Bucharest Bar, acting as either a lawyer or as an in-house counsel (2012 and 2017), then as a competition inspector with the national competition authority of Romania, Consiliul Concurentei (2018-2024). I was a university teaching assistant in European competition law at the French-Romanian European Studies College (2014-2023) and in Introduction to Law at the University of Bucharest (2011-2017). As well as having been a representative of the national competition authority to the OECD (September 2019, Kiev), I was a rapporteur for the European Commission for the works of the Competition Authorities' Advisory Committee (April 2021, Brussels).
