Objective
This online seminar will provide legal practitioners with a detailed update on the case law provided by the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) with relevance for criminal law and criminal procedure. It will focus primarily, but not exclusively, on developments in 2022 and 2023.
Participants will have the opportunity to discuss important cases such as De Lége v. the Netherlands on the privilege against self-incrimination, Kupinskyy v. Ukraine regarding the prohibition of imposing of a heavier penalty, or extradition cases concerning the U.S. and China.
