This seminar will provide practical training to civil judges on the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights.

  • Hints on the application and interpretation of the Charter
  • Relationship with the European Convention of Human Rights and other human rights provisions

Interactive methodology

Case studies on the scope of application of the Charter. Workshop on substantive application of the Charter with a focus on provisions relevant for the practice of civil courts.

Who should attend?

Members of the judiciary of EU Member States. Priority will be given to applicants from Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, Malta and Romania.
