In June 2022, Ukraine was granted the status of a candidate country for accession to the EU, and training on European law has become ever more important. Last year, ERA enabled nearly 70 Ukrainian legal practitioners to participate in its training programmes for free. With the war still ongoing one year later, we renew our support and will offer free online access to selected seminars for the second year running.

Up to ten Ukrainian lawyers, judges, prosecutors and other regulated legal practitioners will be able to apply to join for free the following programmes:

To register please fill out the online application form on the respective event webpage.

In addition, the Academy of European Law has created a dedicated scholarship programme for nationals from Ukraine, Moldova and the Western Balkans alongside its long-established scholarship programme open to lawyers, judges, prosecutors and officials from EU and candidate countries. Successful candidates will be able to take part face-to-face or online in the ERA event of their choice, including in the intensive summer courses that provide a thorough introduction to various areas of European law.

All relevant information can be found on the ERA Scholarship website.
