The European Traffic Law Days have established themselves as a forum for professional training and the exchange of experience between traffic law experts. In 2009 this event will take place for the tenth time.
The congress will provide experts in liability and insurance law with an opportunity to obtain a comprehensive overview of current developments in European traffic law relevant to daily practice.
The results of the research realised by the working group on the socio-professional rehabilitation of victims of road traffic accidents formed after the 2008 congress will be analysed. The most characteristic national reports on three fictional cases will be illustrated by representatives of different member states and followed by a synthesis of the comparative results. A panel discussion on the future of rehabilitation in Europe will complete this session on serious personal injuries.
Further congress topics will include the civil liability of vehicle owners, a survey of French liability and insurance law and the Commission consultation on compensation of cross-border victims in the EU.
