This e-presentation offers an overview of recent competition law cases involving online platforms across Europe. As regards Article 101 TFEU, cases concern collusion and cartel conducts (e.g. UK CMA case on online selling of posters and frames), resale price maintenance, parity clauses (e.g. ban on retailers selling on certain platforms such as eBay) and sales restrictions. The Article 102 TFEU cases under review concern the Amazon e-books case, the Google shopping case and the Google Android and Adsense cases. On mergers, the e-presentation clarifies two cases involving Facebook/ WhatsApp and Microsoft/LinkedIn.
