Public Relations & Content Development Officer (f/m/d)

We, the Academy of European Law (ERA), a public foundation under private law and a leading partner of the European institutions, are looking for a new member of our team as soon as possible:

Public Relations & Content Development Officer (f/m/d)

Part-time (20 -25 hours per week)

With the support of the European Union, ERA, with a team of currently 75 staff from 14 different EU Member States, develops and organises about 150 conferences and trainings a year at its headquarters in Trier and at venues in many European countries, as well as in online and hybrid formats. ERA‘s working languages are English, French and German.

You will be responsible for:

  • strategic planning of content development aligned with institutional and marketing targets;
  • raising public awareness of ERA and its work, in particular among its key target groups and stakeholders;
  • creating, adapting and curating content across website, social media and other platforms;
  • managing ERA’s social media platforms and driving the growth and engagement of our followers;
  • working closely with our lawyers to develop engaging and inspiring copy, and to support them in developing their own presence on social media;
  • planning social media campaigns in cooperation with our marketing team;
  • monitoring and analysing our social media presence in order to measure success and report on ways to improve;
  • implementing other PR-related activities (e.g. handling media enquiries, accreditation of journalists, producing our annual report)
What we expect:
  • a bachelor-degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field
  • professional experience of copywriting and managing social media campaigns
  • an analytical mind-set
  • good communication skills
  • you will be confident, creative, critical and capable of working both alone and in a team
  • fluency in English; native English-speakers are particularly encouraged to apply

The post is for an initial fixed term of two years, after which an indefinite contract may be offered.
