Objective

This seminar will provide participants with a detailed insight into jurisprudence of the European Court of Human Rights on freedom of expression in an age of digital media. It will also provide participants with the possibility to apply newly-gained knowledge using practical case-studies and workshops.

  • Protection of the press: overview of case law and limits of the protection
  • The right (and duty) of States to engage in censorship in the interest of public policy
