Objective

This online conference will discuss recent developments in the field of family law, and especially the interaction between family law and human rights.

It will focus on the most recent case law of the European Court on Human Rights (ECtHR) on the following issues:

Marriage and parenthood, including same-sex parenthood and trans-parenthood
Foster care and adoption
Surrogacy and parentage
Child abduction and the hearing of the child
Gender self-determination and civil status

Who should attend?

Family lawyers, lawyers in private practice and notaries involved in family litigation, judges, ministry officials, representatives of NGOs and children’s rights organisations, academics.

Interactive online seminar

The seminar will be hosted on the Zoom videoconferencing platform. The highest security settings will be applied. You will be able to interact immediately and directly with our top-level speakers and other participants. We will make the most of the technical tools available to deliver an intensive, interactive experience.
