Objective

This basic training will focus on proceedings before the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) and will enable the participants to apply properly their knowledge of substantive EU law before the EU courts.

Participation Conditions

  • The number of places available is limited to 30 persons. Participation will be subject to a selection procedure.
  • Applications should be submitted before 20 January 2022.
    A response will be sent to every applicant shortly after this deadline. We advise you not to book any travel before you receive our confirmation.
  • The seminar fee for face-to-face participants is 120 euros.
    The fee for online participants is 30 euros.
  • Travel expenses will be reimbursed to a maximum of 350 euros subject to the submission of the originals of travel receipts (like flight ticket, boarding pass, train ticket, taxi bill, etc.). Participants are advised of the obligation to use the most cost-efficient mode of transport available. A bus booked by ERA will take the participants from Trier to Luxembourg for the visit of the CJEU and back to Trier.
  • Maximum 2 hotel nights will be covered directly by ERA, only for the hotel booked by ERA.
  • One dinner, two lunches, beverages consumed during the event and the seminar documents are offered by ERA.
  • Participation at the whole conference is required and your presence will be monitored.
  • A certificate of attendance will be distributed at the end of the conference.
  • Please note that we might take photos during the event.

Who should attend?

Lawyers in private practice with basic or no knowledge of the proceedings before the CJEU. Only participants from the EU Member States (excluding Denmark), Albania and Montenegro are eligible for this training.

Important note
Due to the unpredictable health situation in Europe, ERA reserves the right to cancel the face-to-face event at any time and switch to an online format. Selected participants are advised not to book travel until they have received confirmation from ERA.
