Improving Detention Conditions at EU Level

Objective

This final seminar in a series of five co-funded by the European Commission on issues related to detention will focus on the follow-up to the EU’s Green Paper on detention and the ongoing debate and developments surrounding it, as well as provide an update on the implementation and use of the relevant Framework Decisions.

Participation

Accommodation for a maximum of two nights (31 May -2 June 2017) up to €95 per night will be reimbursed by ERA upon receipt of the original receipts and invoices after the seminar.

Please note that these rules do not apply to representatives of EU Institutions and Agencies and all residents of non-EU states, who should cover their own accommodation. Participants should come from eligible EU Member States (the UK and Denmark do not participate in the Justice Programme 2014-2020).

Participants are asked to book their own travel, which will not be reimbursed, and accommodation.

Judges, prosecutors, lawyers in private practice, ministry officials, and officials from judicial training institutions, prison administrations, the probation system and prison monitoring bodies.
