Your current occupation and country of work?
As a legal advisor in ABN AMRO, my role involves providing legal advice on various aspects of the bank’s operations, including regulatory compliance, risk management, and corporate governance. The bank operates in multiple European countries and is subject to the laws and regulations of each of these countries, thus it is essential for me to have a good understanding of the EU law to carry out my role effectively.

How you use European law in your work?
Attending ERA conference has provided me with a good overview and deeper understanding of EU laws, particularly in the area of financial regulations. I learned about the latest developments and gained insights into how they are likely to impact the banking industry in Europe. This knowledge will enable me to provide more accurate and comprehensive legal advice to the bank.

How you benefitted from the scholarship and the gained knowledge?
The conference helped me to develop my professional network. I had the opportunity to meet and network with legal professionals from across Europe and learn about their experiences and exchange ideas. Overall, I believe that attending the ERA conference has been a beneficial experience that will help me advance my career in the future.
