The Friends of ERA
The Friends of ERA is a Europe-wide network of individuals and organisations that provide material and moral support to the Academy's work and mission.
Founded in 1990 as the Association for the Promotion of the Academy of European Law in Trier, since 2007 it has supported ERA's scholarship scheme for young lawyers from the new and future EU member states.
The advantages of membership include:

- Conference documentation and other useful resources
- Regular networking opportunities with colleagues from the European legal community
Executive Committee
The Chairman of the Friends of ERA is Professor Manuel Medina Ortega and the other members of the executive committee are Alain Lamassoure MEP, Jettie Van Caenegem and Dr Wolfgang Heusel.
Membership fees (2009)
€ 50 for individuals / natural persons under 30 years of age
€ 75 for individuals / natural persons
from € 1000 for organisations / legal persons
