Job Opportunities

We are looking for flexible free-lancers to reinforce our team:

Lawyer(s) (free-lance)
with an excellent knowledge of Community law and professional experience
Successful applicants will be listed for upcoming projects in various areas and recruited on an ad-hoc basis. They will be involved in specific ERA training projects in the areas of European Private Law, European Business Law, European Public Law and/or European Criminal Law.

Under the guidance of the ERA staff member in charge, your tasks will include in particular:
  • Management and implementation of projects, including monitoring the budget;
  • Preparation and coordination of seminars in consultation with cooperation partners (programme conception and recruitment of speakers, identification of participants, preparing documentation, practical conference organisation);
  • Organisation and implementation of seminars in the member states;
  • Submission of draft project reports (narrative and financial report);
  • Attending events and co-ordinating the intellectual contents as well as practical matters during these.
As the applicant will be expected to liaise with legal experts from the private and public sectors at national and European level, he or she must have good networking and communication skills and should be fluent in at least two of ERA’s three working languages.

While the post is a free-lance position and a certain amount of tasks can be carried out at home, applicants will be expected to come to the Academy for regular or ad-hoc meetings as required.

If you find this challenge appealing and would like to play a role in promoting a better knowledge and understanding of EU law among European lawyers, please send your CV and a motivation letter - indicating your fee expectations - in one of the Academy’s working languages (preferably by e-mail) to:
